America's former glory had a foundation in Christ. The people were in right standing with the Creator, and the Creator blessed America and her people. Contrast that with today. Contrast that with the video you see above. Not only are many Americans turning their back on the Almighty, they are at the same time turning to false gods.
This ^^ my friends, does not have a happy ending. These people ^^ have an appetite for destruction and their hunger will be filled. This ^^ is why this world has an appointment with war, famine, death and terror (see Revelation 6). These people are sealing their own fate. America has forgotten where its blessing comes from. It has forgotten who made it great in the past. This is why history repeats itself, people never learn....
Trump or Hillary, it never really mattered. The problem always was and is the people, not the politicians. The people get the politicians they deserve:
Romans 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
If the politicians are crooked, then look no farther than the people of the country they represent.
Jer 3:11And the Lord said to me, “Faithless Israel has shown herself more righteous than treacherous Judah. 12Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say,
“‘Return, faithless Israel,
declares the Lord.
I will not look on you in anger,
for I am merciful,
declares the Lord;
I will not be angry forever.
13Only acknowledge your guilt,
that you rebelled against the Lord your God
and scattered your favors among foreigners under every green tree,
and that you have not obeyed my voice,
declares the Lord.
14Return, O faithless children,
declares the Lord;
for I am your master;
I will take you, one from a city and two from a family,
and I will bring you to Zion.
I will not look on you in anger,
for I am merciful,
I will not be angry forever.

that you rebelled against the Lord your God

15“‘And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.
Only if the people of America acknowledged their guilt, that they rebelled against the Lord God, only then would we be given shepherds after the Lord's own heart. As things stand today, that is not going to happen thus we get the egomaniac, liar, thief, murderer politicians instead.
America is in serious trouble (as is the entire world).
What are the few righteous left in the land to do about this? We can do our job: be salt, be light.
Matt 5:13You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its savor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
14You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they set it on a lampstand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
As long as a few righteous remain in the land, the Lord will not completely destroy it.
Gen 18:25 Far be it from you to do such a thing--to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?"
It is just as it was in the days of Noah and Lot. We should expect the Son of Man to arrive in days such as this:
Luke 17:26Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27They were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lot—they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building, 29but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all— 30so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
Be salt and light. Be watching and ready for the Son of Man to arrive unexpected just as He said He would.
